I bought this to replace a faulty boss double din that the previous owner had put in my ’99 F350. I’m not a fan of touch screens, but I wanted something budget-friendly with Bluetooth and a backup camera since my truck is over 20 feet long and has a wide turning radius. The Bluetooth connects seamlessly to my phone as soon as I’m near the truck, which is great. The touch screen is very responsive and doesn’t feel cheap.
I installed it myself, so the next part could be user error, or perhaps my 30-year-old truck has a faulty antenna. Every radio station has static, and when they do come in, the audio quality is noticeably poor. I can leave the truck with static and hop into my Ranger on the same station, and it sounds crystal clear. It’s possible I didn’t connect the antenna correctly to the back of the radio, or my truck’s antenna might be malfunctioning. Installing car radios isn’t difficult, so I’m unsure how I could have messed that up. I might consider an upgrade in the future, but for now, I’m satisfied. The backup camera works well, but the music cuts off when I shift into reverse, which is when the rear camera activates. Also, the radio turns on as soon as I turn the ignition, which is annoying for someone like me who prefers to ride in silence. Overall, I think this radio is a solid deal for $40—just don’t expect it to be anything more than that!

The first issue I encountered is that this unit claims to be double DIN, but it’s actually slightly larger, making it incompatible with standard bezels. The next problem arises when switching to Bluetooth; for some reason, the equalizer settings change and it boosts the bass by 12 dB, resulting in a muddy and unpleasant sound. The only workaround I found is to access the audio adjustment screen, make changes, and stay there. Additionally, I experience random Bluetooth disconnections. You’d expect to be able to disconnect and reconnect your phone, but that doesn’t work. The only way to resolve this is to pull over, turn off the ignition, and restart it. Just turning off the radio doesn’t help; you have to completely cut the power. The disconnections are unpredictable and quite frustrating. Frankly, I’m considering just getting a cheap used radio with Bluetooth to avoid this hassle. Overall, this product is not worth it and really shouldn’t be on the market.

I was shocked! When I received the product and opened it, the monitor was split vertically and completely damaged! This is unusable!

I believe all the wiring is connected correctly, but the power won’t turn on. The instructions are also quite unclear.

1st Update: I have to commend CAMECO’s Customer Service; they promptly sent me an email with instructions and potential solutions for my wheel control issue. Here’s a copy of the instructions for mirroring my phone to the radio. Thank you, “Cher.”
2nd Update: CAMECO will be sending me a new control at no cost due to the malfunction of the original one I received. Thank you, “Cher.”
3rd Update: Since Monday, I’ve been waiting for updates on the Steering Wheel Control and Camera, which are malfunctioning accessories. I was informed that replacements can be sent for the ones I currently have. Other than that, everything else is functioning perfectly. I love the sound quality, screen resolution, and overall features.
How to use Phone Mirror:
This is a worthwhile purchase for the investment.
Pros: All accessories depicted in the item pictures were included, along with some manuals (in English). Boot time is relatively quick compared to similar products. The screen resolution is very sharp, the touch response is excellent, Bluetooth connectivity is flawless, and the USB functions well. The sound quality is impressive. A few basic hardware adjustments were needed for my 2002 Ford Escape.
Cons: No batteries were included for the controls. The manuals could be clearer (cable color coding would improve the electronic instructions). The steering wheel control is not functioning, and the camera remains on at all times. There are no instructions for setting up the dual picture (Cellphone-Radio).

Pros: Excellent value for money, so I’m keeping my 5-star rating. Great sound quality and good FM radio reception.
Cons: The manual is very poorly written, with numerous errors regarding wiring and incorrect connector descriptions. It’s filled with unnecessary information. The unit doesn’t fit in a standard 2DIN slot; it’s 3mm too high! The sidewalls are conical, making alignment with the car’s holders difficult. The two remote controls are impractical; you have to squint at the tiny buttons to use them, and there’s no audible feedback, which is dangerous while driving. Additionally, the main on/off switch constantly changes colors—red, green, yellow, blue—which is annoying and distracting. I can’t figure out how to disable these “disco lights.”
I haven’t tested the camera, AUX, USB, TF, or Bluetooth options for my phone.
Advice to the Manufacturer: Discard the useless remote controls and use the savings to enhance:
Advice to Users: Avoid using the ILL input, as it dims the display during the day when headlights are on due to rain, snow, or fog—use the soft button instead.
Overall, I really like this radio, and due to the great price, I’m sticking with my 5-star rating.

I wish I could give this product less than one star. After just two months, it broke, and it’s truly a terrible stereo. I do not recommend it.

I was using a 9-year-old car navigation system that had a broken touchscreen and no Bluetooth, which was quite frustrating. However, I discovered that I could purchase an audio unit for just around 5000 yen, so I went ahead and bought it. I’m pleased to report that the sound quality is impressive—possibly even better than my previous KENWOOD unit. Considering the price, I’m extremely satisfied.
Notes:
Overall, for 5000 yen, I’m very happy with my purchase.
