Pioneer has always been my top choice for audio equipment, and I’ve consistently had great experiences with their products, which tend to last a long time. I’m really excited about these new decks. Since I’ve transitioned entirely to Bluetooth for my travel needs, I appreciate that there’s no CD player, offering me more variety without the hassle of physical storage. This is my second Pioneer media player; the first was a single din model I bought about three years ago, and this one is a double din to fit my vehicle.
I’m not a fan of touch screens in cars, as they can distract you from the road. I prefer dials and buttons, which you can use without looking once you know where they are. This deck comes with some impressive features, including three sets of 4V preouts, a wide array of EQ settings, and standard AM/FM functionality. The illumination options are nice, allowing for customization to match my car’s interior. Since it’s a media player only, it’s quite compact and lightweight, providing extra space behind the unit for organizing RCA cables and wiring harness adapters. The sound quality is excellent. There’s a bit of a learning curve to understand all its features, but most of it is pretty intuitive—I only needed to consult the manual a couple of times to set it up.

I’ve had this head unit for about a month now, and it’s been great so far. All the features are functioning perfectly. After adjusting the equalizer, I opted not to install aftermarket door speakers because the factory ones sound fantastic with this unit. It delivers around 22 watts per channel, which is impressive for a head unit. The RCA output at 4 volts is another advantage, making it easy to tune the amp. However, I’m not a fan of the bass button; it seems unnecessary with the SLA, loudness, and 13-band equalizer already available. It tends to cause distortion and could potentially damage the speakers, so I just won’t use that feature. Overall, I’m really pleased with this head unit, especially considering the price. I would definitely recommend it.
